ACTION NEEDED-RESCAN ON FRIDAY 12/7 OR LOOSE TV CHANNELS!
By law, many free OTA TV stations are moving to new frequencies between now and 2020. If you watch TV for free, using an antenna, you must take action to avoid losing your channels. Any time after a station moves, rescan your TV, DVR or converter box to continue to receive your local TV stations. Rescanning is when your TV finds all of the available channels in your area. Because stations must move at different times, you may need to rescan your TV more than once.
Major Channels such as NBC 9.4 and My Network 20.1 will be moving, so a rescan is required in order to keep receiving these channels.
Rescanning is a very easy to do and takes only a few minutes. No new devices, equipment or services are needed to rescan. Please note some channel guide data might not populate right away, but should update over time based on where your TV, converter box or DVR get their guide data from.
